My Approach
Pleasure and Sexuality
I believe that understanding and exploring our personal pleasure and sexuality are integral to the process of self-discovery and healing.
My therapy practice provides a space to explore and navigate issues related to consent, pleasure, queerness and sexuality in an expansive and non-judgmental manner.
Through somatic practices, compassionate dialogue, education, and therapeutic interventions, I support individuals in cultivating a healthy relationship with their pleasure, desires, and authentic selves.
Somatic Therapy
In our fast-paced and often disconnected world, it is easy to overlook the wisdom and knowledge that resides within our bodies.
Somatic therapy is an approach that emphasizes the importance of reconnecting with the body's physical sensations, emotions, and experiences.
By tuning into bodily sensations, we can uncover valuable insights into our emotions, patterns, and traumas. .
Mindfulness
Mindfulness involves intentionally bringing our attention to the present moment without judgment.
By cultivating this awareness, we can begin to observe our thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations with curiosity and compassion.
Mindfulness serves as a powerful tool for building self-awareness, managing stress, and fostering resilience.
Through mindfulness-based interventions, we can develop a greater sense of ease, balance, and emotional well-being.
Anti-Oppressive Practices
I recognize that many of life’s challenges are caused by systemic barriers and institutional trauma; therefore, most healing must happen at a community and systems level. I also recognize that my particular identities can blind me to power dynamics and the needs of some of my clients.
I am dedicated to continuing my learning and growth around liberatory practices.
About Me
Welcome! I am a white, queer, nonbinary individual residing in the Pacific Northwest.
I believe in creating supportive and empowering spaces where individuals and couples can explore, notice, and redefine intimacy and pleasure as it relates to oneself, others, and the world. My approach is first and foremost to help build, grow, and reinforce one’s relationship to oneself.
My personal journey in slowing down and listening to my body has brought profound changes in my life. As a therapist, I am excited to guide and support others on their own transformative paths.
I received my Master in Social Work at San Francisco State University in 2017. I have worked both in direct client care and in macro social work in the Oregon State Public Health Department because I believe that change must be made both on individual, community and institutional levels.
Sex and pleasure positivity is an integral part of my practice. I am also polyamory and kink affirming. Together, we can explore and understand the messages your body sends – the "yes," "no," and "maybe” messages that allows one to move towards the life they want.
I am committed to creating welcoming, expansive and affirming space where you can explore, discover, and ultimately flourish.
